CCDS Faculty Awarded Summer Grants

Providence College faculty affiliated with the Center for Catholic and Dominican Studies received grants to facilitate teaching and research over the summer months.

The Marion and Jasper Whiting Foundation awarded CCDS Director and Assistant Professor of Political Science, Justin Brophy, O.P., a grant to develop future courses for PC students. Fr. Brophy will travel to Ireland to prepare a course on 20th Century Irish Political History and Thought.

Additionally, Dr. Mary Harmon-Vukic, CCDS Senior Affiliate Fellow and Associate Professor of Psychology, was selected to participate in the Lilly Faculty Fellows Program. The program exists so faculty can initiate programming at their home colleges that promotes the integration of Christian thought and pedagogy.
