Assistant Professor of Political Science
Fr. Brophy is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Providence College. His teaching and
research interests revolve around questions pertaining to the human person and human freedom and include Ancient and Contemporary Political Theory, Philosophical Conceptions of the Human Psyche, the Human Psyche and Modern Society, Philosophy of Education, American Political Thought, Plato, Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Freud. He is inspired by the riches of the modern Catholic Intellectual Tradition especially Romano Guardini, Josef Pieper, Henri De Lubac, Gabriel Marcel, Herbert McCabe, Walker Percy, Charles Taylor, and Alasdair MacIntyre.

Dr. Mary Harmon-Vukic
Associate Professor of Psychology
Dr. Mary Harmon-Vukic, Associate Professor of Psychology, has published experimental research in the cognitive psychology of religion since 2009. Her current work explores the possibility of a spatial/proprioceptive representation of the divine. In particular, she is interested in the role of visuo-spatial vastness in believers’ understanding of the divine.
